Right now, I should definitely be working on a wrap up post. I’m months behind and I need to wrap up, like…50 books? 60? 70? An ever-growing and also absurd number. But instead I’m writing this.
And the simple explanation for that is I’ve posted so. Many. Wrap-ups. Lately, and even I can get sick of myself when I’m that repetitive. And I’m never sick of myself. Which is why we’re about to spend the rest of this post talking ALL ABOUT ME!
The beautifulamazingfantastic Ellyn @ Allonsythornraxx made this tag (!!) and tagged me (!!) in it!! Yippee!! Find her post here. (Yes it was forever ago, but honestly the fact that I’m even DOING a tag, even if it was a million years ago, is a miracle.)

- Nominate 5+ bloggers you’d like to know more about, to do this tag
1. Why did you start blogging and why have you kept blogging?
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Simple self-obsession.
Also because I love books, and I love talking about them, and I love writing reviews and I love writing in general and a lot of the time I forget that I love it so it’s nice to have something to remind me.
But mostly self-obsession.
2. What is your favorite type of blog post to write?
Usually it’s wrap ups, but right now it is NOT that. Probably because I haven’t been blogging at all and when I have I’ve been writing the same post in the same structure for all time forever.
So right now it’s tags. Like this one!
3. What are your top three favorite blog posts?
It’s moments like these when the elaborate façade of joke self-obsession falls apart. DON’T ASK ME FOR SPECIFICS. I ACTUALLY DON’T LIKE MYSELF THAT MUCH.
This is difficult.
This is my most recent post and also absurdly long and also made up of my favoritest things so obviously I’m fond of it.
When it comes to wrapping up four months’ worth of reading in one post…I’ve done it before, I can do it again.
There is so much negativity on this blog (and in my life)…….I appreciate taking opportunities to dwell on the positive.
4. What are some of your favorite things to do to relax?
Relaxing? Never heard of her.
Just kidding, I live my entire life in relative luxury and ease, working hard never and wanting for little.
Just kidding again. Somewhere between the two?
To relax, I…obviously read. I listen to podcasts and do other things while I listen, like play Sims sometimes or play an iconic childhood game like Webkinz or Neopets. Or Matchington Mansion, the only game app worthy of having on my phone.
I lead an exhilarating life. (I have friends, I swear!)
5. What are three of your favorite things?
Books, comedy, sweets.
Truly my big three.
6. What are your proudest blogging moments?
When I actually do it?
Because those moments are few and far between.
Honestly I was proud of my last year of blogging (2018). I actually posted semi-consistently and I posted things I was proud of.
As opposed to this year, when I haven’t posted, and 2017, when I didn’t post anything good.
Here’s to 2020.
7. What are your hobbies outside of blogging?
What is this “hobby” you speak of.
Obviously I love reading. I love writing book reviews. I’m very into comedy. I enjoy a game of Sims from time to time. But that basically sums me up.
I’m very one track minded.
8. Describe your personality in three words.
I am SO BAD at things like this. I have no self-perception. I went on vacation to Florida with my dear friend in July (stupid mistake – it felt like being inside the devil’s mouth) and we got one of those boardwalk portraits of ourselves done, mostly because I have no idea what I look like.
It looked like a Barbie-fied version of me. Pointless.
Also I feel like there’s no way to do this without bragging.
Here’s what I’ll go with: Curious. Sardonic. Empathetic.
Hopefully that makes any form of sense. If it doesn’t, refer to the fact that I have no idea what my own face looks like.
9. What are your top three pet peeves?
When people eat smelly or loud foods in a public, non-eating situation. (Can you tell I have food issues? If not: I have food issues.)
Customers who treat retail/service workers like they aren’t people. (It should be legally required that everyone work a retail/service job, just so this doesn’t happen.)
And, of course, PEOPLE WHO LOVE A BOOK AND THEN IMMEDIATELY, FOR SOME REASON, READ A NEGATIVE REVIEW OF IT IN ORDER, SEEMINGLY, TO MAKE THEMSELVES MAD AND ALSO HAVE AN EXCUSE TO BE MEAN TO A STRANGER ON THE INTERNET.
You can guess which one is the most frequent occurrence in my life.
10. What’s something your followers don’t know about you?
Well, I don’t talk about my personal life basically ever on this blog, so…a lot of things?
I truly don’t know what to even say here. I could say anything. I’m going to talk about one of my very favorite subjects: my dog, Louie, who is a golden retriever and weird and fantastic and my favorite living creature. (Also she’s a she. Yes I know that’s an unexpected name.)
Also may not know that I made a Twitter!! Please follow me. I crave the validation. (Also I’ll follow you back.)
Thanks again to the amaaaaaazing Ellyn @ Allonsythornraxx for tagging me!!
I hope the fact that I have posted two times in just over two weeks means that I’m now actually going to, you know, post sometimes.
